"If you don’t feel good about yourself, look at your High School yearbook. And here’s the thing: when you look at your high school yearbook and you look at it and you go… At the time you thought you either had too much acne, or you were too fat or too skinny and that you were unhappy with who you are. And you look at yourself. You look at that beautiful young person. You look at him and that beautiful person was wracked with doubts. Didn’t even realise how stunning and amazing they were. And you look at him and you think- Well, as you look back on your life, you sort of hope that you spend less time wracking yourself with doubts and engage with the world a little more."
Ben Browder (interview for Gateworld)
#Ben Browder #I love this man so much #I could listen to him talk for hours and hours #And not just ‘cause he has a wonderful voice (and he does) #But he’s so insightful #And funny #He’s just great #And obviously he’s speaking from the point of view of a 46-year-old #But as a person half that age I look at it sort of like maybe all the stuff I worry about with myself #Won’t mean a damn thing as I get older #I hope so #(And yes I know he’s 51 now but he was 46 when that interview was made or just about to turn 46 at least)
